In 2008 the passion before the need pushed the farm "Il Sole della Sila" (existing since the early 70s) to improve its cultivation techniques.
The varieties of potatoes grown in our company are yellow-fleshed, white-fleshed, red-skinned and purple-skinned and fleshed.
They are produced at 1300 meters above sea level and irrigated with spring water.
The strong thermal excursions give the potato a high dry substance which makes it excellent for any culinary use.
Winter temperatures allow for a long natural conservation without the use of chemical preservatives.
Mixed-organic fertilizers are used for fertilization and no GMO seeds are used.
For the packaging we have chosen to use products that respect nature and the environment, that is jute and paper (our goal is to achieve "zero plastic"). In fact, our packages are: 13 kg cartons, 5 kg jute bags and 3 kg paper bags.
For the fight against diseases, pests and various parasites we only use products registered and allowed by the National Health System, in fact ours is a product with zero chemical residue.
