“È il 1959 e nella cittadina calabrese di Catanzaro, i fratelli Gregorio e Giuseppe Macrina, ancora piccoli, decidono di apprendere l'arte del ferro. Un'iniziale curiosità e scoperta, sfocerà poi in una vera e propria passione.
Così, nel febbraio del 1970, i due decidono di concretizzare la stessa, dando forma al loro primo progetto: nasce, nella località di Montepaone Lido, l'azienda F.lli Macrina, specializzata nella lavorazione del ferro e nella realizzazione di serrande metalliche, persistenti tutt'oggi.
Nel gennaio dell'89 i due fratelli si dividono, senza mai separarsi realmente fra loro, in due distinte imprese: l'una nella città di Catanzaro, e l'altra nella città di Montepaone, dove la già esistente "F.lli Macrina" prende il nome di MG Macrina, di Macrina Gregorio, ora affiancato dal proprio figlio, Saverio. L'azienda, inizialmente dedita esclusivamente al ferro, viene ampliata attraverso l'introduzione di infissi in alluminio, tende da sole, zanzariere, porte e box doccia.
Nel corso degli anni, la MG Macrina realizza anche lavori di carpenteria pesante, come capannoni e zone industriali, tetti e molto altro.
Nel gennaio del 2010, Macrina Gregorio cede il posto al figlio Saverio, il quale dà vita alla Macrina Serramenti s.r.l. e introduce nuovi rami aziendali, fra cui il settore edile.
A partire dal 2016, l'azienda ha assistito all'ingresso della terza generazione, rappresentata dapprima da Gregorio Macrina e, successivamente, anche dal fratello Domenico.
Oggi, i due fratelli, insieme al padre e a diverse squadre di professionisti, si dedicano con cura a lavori e progetti innovativi tanto nel settore serramentistico quanto nel settore dell'arredo, realizzando strutture e oggetti in stile industrial per locali e abitazione private. Ciò mantiene intatta la tradizione originaria dell'azienda per la trattazione del ferro, creando però un connubio fra storia e innovazione.”

The company, initially dedicated exclusively to iron, was expanded through the introduction of aluminum frames, awnings, mosquito nets, doors and shower cubicles.
Over the years, MG Macrina also carries out heavy carpentry works, such as warehouses and industrial areas, roofs and much more.
In January 2010, Macrina Gregorio gives way to his son Saverio, who gives life to Macrina Serramenti s.r.l. and introduces new business branches, including the construction sector.
Since 2016, the company has witnessed the entry of the third generation, first represented by Gregorio Macrina and, later, also by his brother Domenico.
Today, the two brothers, together with their father and several teams of professionals, carefully dedicate themselves to innovative works and projects both in the window and door sector and in the furniture sector, creating industrial-style structures and objects for premises and private homes. This keeps intact the company's original tradition of dealing with iron, while creating a union between history and innovation. "
